Mudit’s first encounter to music was when he was around 8 months old.  His parents found him dancing and shaking in rhythm to the tune of Doordarshan news channel jingle.  Since then they knew that he had a natural sense of rhythm and interest in music.  At the age of 7, Mudit took training in Carnatic music for three years in Chennai, India, and developed a keen interest in singing.  At the age of 16 he started remixing hindi songs and started re-recording them, singing in his own voice.  He found out through his remixes that composing and singing in Hindi came very naturally to him.

At the age of 18, he composed his first song “Hamesha”. Since then he has created 20 compositions of his own and many more are in progress.  Mudit’s confidence in music increased further when he won the Atlanta Indian Idol competition and was awarded as the Best Singer. He also competed in the North America Indian Idol competition.  He performed in several concerts in North America, however, his keen interest remained in composing his own songs.

Mudit believes in the word “Jamke”, which means to achieve a task with full energy and dedication.  His music involves a variety of hindi genres – romantic, inspirational, bollywood, hip-hop / rap, patriotic, rock and pop. He recently also started creating Children's songs.  In collaboration with American artists such as Leem and Solo, Mudit created “Kahan Gaye Who Din”, “O Rabba”, and “Dekhi Na Pyari Koi”.  He started experimenting with fast numbers of which  “Dil De De” and “Ishq hai Beraham” are a few to name.

His first music video was for the song “Bachpan”, which was about reminiscing childhood memories which he directed and produced.  His second music video was a patriotic song and for the love of his country, India, titled “Des Yaad Karun”, which was shot in various locations such as New Delhi, Goa, Las Vegas, Death Valley, and Sedona.  His third music video was a time lapse video of the song “Aadat hai Buri” which is a song created towards a no-smoking campaign.

Mudit believes in creating music not only for entertainment but also for a good cause.  Songs such as “Aadat hai Buri”, “Des Yaad karun”, “O Rabba”, and “Bachpan” all have a message to convey for the good of society.  Mudit created this website to share his compositions and music.  He plans to launch his songs and videos frequently.  Please keep visiting this website and contact mudit@jamkemusic.com for any further information and any comments you have to share in regards to his music.
